- This spacious home provides an example of the extravagant lifestyle of some community members in Neenah's past.
- There are nearly 40 rooms in the house; including a music room, tiled conservatory and third floor ballroom.
- The house number was 532 until 1924 when it was changed to 706. The renumbering was done in cooperation with the post office to ensure uniformity in numbering the houses in blocks.
- Henry Smith's father, Elisha D. Smith, was one of the few original settlers and industrialists of Menasha. Elisha founded the Menasha Woodenware Company, now known as Menasha Corporation. Henry worked there as well.
